Lucketts Excavating, Inc is an established general excavation company, proudly located in Leesburg, Virginia and serving the greater Loudoun County area. Our crew offers a wide range of services for both home owners and commercial spaces from pond or lake installation and repair, gravel road and parking lot installation and repair, land clearing, and custom equestrian riding arenas—just to name a few.

We have been in business since 1999, as trustworthy, reliable, and proud business owners who aim to create amazing and functional properties. For 17 years we also held a contract for snow removal services at the Dulles Greenway. We are family owned and oriented—as a husband and wife business duo—wanting to make an impact on the community that we share with our customers. What are the areas
that you serve and
operate within?

We primarily serve the Northern Virginia area, as we are based out of Leesburg, Virginia. Our primary construction sites reside in Loudoun County in the towns of: Leesburg, Lucketts, Waterford, Bluemont, Purcellville, Lovettsville, Aldie, Round Hill, Hillsboro, Ashburn, Sterling, Middleburg, Hamilton, Paeonian Springs, and Philomont. We also serve the areas of Haymarket, Winchester, Great Falls, Berryville, and Upperville.

How do you price out excavation projects?

Each project is unique and is approached with custom solutions and recommendations. Due to the nature of the business, we cannot provide a quote until we complete an on-site review of the land and area.

How much do you
charge for estimates?

During the initial phone consultation call with Dave, associated estimate price may be determined. After submitting an inquiry form and connecting with Dave via phone, we typically require a site visit to understand the excavation project's full extent and provide our best insight and recommendation for best practices to deliver the best services possible.

What type of work qualifies as excavating?

What is a Certified Responsible Land Disturber?

Work we typically do includes: pond and lake installation and repairs; gravel roads, driveways, and parking lot installation and repair; equestrian riding arenas; lot clean up, land clearing, and grading; pad sites; basement excavation; retaining walls; brush hogging; sediment and erosion control; drainage solutions; demolition; ditch line cleanup; culvert replacement; and off-road dump truck services.

For activities such as land disturbance—moving dirt, digging holes, and everything in between—registration is required and certifications can be issued. In order to be deemed a Certified Responsible Land Disturber for stormwater management, erosion, and sediment control, business undergo training courses in environmental science and law. An exam must be passed at the end of the training and recertification must be obtained every three years.
